Hotels for the World

I went to make my reservations last night for the World and much to my surprise there was only a few hotels in the town...I was sure that they would all be booked by now. I logged onto the Ramada Inn website to find out that rooms were $104.00 a night...needless to say I almost had a heartattack. I called this morning and the woman told me the same rate...I then explained that I was coming with the coonhound event and she said let me see what i can do. She wanted to know if i was with the BBOA ( I am assuming since they had bluetick days up there this year) I told her no and went on to explain the event to her. She was VERY HELPFUL and gave me the BBOA rate of $60.99. They allow pets in the room for a $25.00 charge. She wanted me to get the word out for everyone to mention the BBOA when calling to book their room and that they had plenty of rooms left. With gas prices like they are these days every little bit saved helps, and a almost $40.00 reduction of the price is huge. Hope this helps everyone...

The number for the Ramada Inn is 260-665-9471

thanks for the update & the number. I just called and confirmed my reservations that I had made in May. Got the BBOA rate as well. That Ramada also has an O'Charley's I think in it as well.

Jim Combs (Handler) may be the person to call for motel reservations. In five minutes Jim got us kicked out of the nice rooms that Mike Hurt had booked for several weeks before the Nat. BBOA hunt. Have faith in the handler on obtaining motel reservations we were told. The group put Jim in charge of finding more rooms. The motel rooms that Jim finally got booked had been overlooked by most folks looking for a room. Yes, they were cheap and didn't have the scenic view. The pool hadn't been built yet and the AC was very noisy. Doors did lock but you kept one eye open and put a chair in front of the door. I noticed during check in a sign that read "NO REFUNDS". Needless to say the sign was made for folks that understood english and not the handler. After the first night Jim decided to look for different housing and desided to get a refund. I was sure the law would arrive on the scene after Jim returned and said," get your stuff and lets get out of here". After a clean get a way I have decided to never put Jim in charge of room negotiations, upcharges or refunds.
