Coonhunter Seriously Injured
To all Fellow Coonhunters: On Friday 10,2007 a fellow coonhunter was seriously injured at a competion hunt. The hunt was being held in Cokesbury North Carolina at the Cokesbury Hunt Club, Just outside of Henderson, NC. Servere weather rolled in around 5pm, with strong winds and heavy rains. With the high winds that came up, trees around the club house became very unstable. The Coonhunter: Buddy Vaughn Jr. was going to move his dog to a saver place , when a poplar tree gave way and fell on top of him. Injuries sustained were as follows: Servere Concussion; A broken bone in the face area; shoulder and collar bone broken; and right ankle broken in two spots. This young man will have to have several surgeries. Buddy will be out of work for 6 to 8 months if not longer. He has a wife and 3 kids. We are asking for your help. To help a fellow Coonhunter. It dosen't have to be much, just give from your HEART! All donations should be made out to Buddy Vaughn and sent to Mike Minton at P.O.Box 212 Manteo, NC 27954. All donations that are collected between now and November 1, 2007 will be taken to the Cokesbury Hunt club on November 3,2007 and given to Buddy Jr's Father Bud Vaughn Sr. At the hunt that weekend.
