Pick a Pup...

Having trouble picking a pup...
Litter of 6 males, got it down to these two 6 wk. old boys. Need to pick one soon since they aren't mine, gotta get the other back to our friend who was nice enough to "lend" me the pair until I picked one!
Took these pictures late that night so had to lighten the shots for a good view, hate that... they are really a nice dark jet black with darker tan.

Which one do you like better and why?

Male #1(Indy)

Male #2 (Andy)

LOL.

I'd love to keep them both, but it wasn't my litter! And... there is a space issue. We just moved and found out AFTER the move they don't want us to have our hounds here. Farmed some out and are taking the rest to my in-laws for a few months until we can move AGAIN...

I like Indy a little better as far as looks. Even markings on both sides of his face and mussle. JMO!! Nice pups both of them. Good luck with the one you choose!

bluetick lady...

Which ever one I don't keep will be for sale, don't believe they have them all spoken for yet. This litter is advertised on the walker classifieds under GRCH Bolt Action Some Beach x CH Little T's Mandolin Rain (or something like that!) with pictures of both sire and dam and pedigrees. Owned by Mr. Richard Bull.

Yeah, the owner of the litter liked the head on the first one better too. He described the second one as being "knuckle headed" and blocky... He has a nice body though, and they are both tempered so nicely. It's SOOO hard to pick when they both are so nice. That's why I'm asking you guys!

Heck,

I still don't know!
Indy was my pick from birth, but the bigger they got and the more time I spent with them the more I started liking Andy.

Indy is playful, but not to rough. He's not shy, and is usually the first to come when called. Likes to be loved but wants to play, bite, and chew on things too.

Andy is more rough. He's more aggressive with everything from playing with toys, running after you, and the first to the water and food bowl. His personality is more comical. He's full throttle with everything he does.

I lean towards Indy (most days!) on looks.. but it's hard to choose temperment wise becuase they are both nice for different reasons.

This pup is for me, so will be a show dog first. Will be hunted to, but that is up to my husband. He has three hunting now so don't foresee him using this pup for the next year or so at least... we're shooting for a kennel full of dual purpose dogs. Trying to only keep dogs that can do both.

I keep looking at those 2 pups over and over again.. The more I look the more I like #2 (Andy) He may not have as pretty of a face as his brother, but look at the build on that pup... I like a male pup to look like a male pup.. Not that Indy doesn't, but compared to his brother I would say Andy is more masculine... They are both great looking for sure.. My pick would be #2...

pups

The more laid back one may show easier. Its been my experience the first to everything will be a leader of the pack and may start sooner but may tend to be more bullheaded. The other that is more eager to please are generally more enjoyable to hunt.
