No experience with Dog Tra. I have a tri tronics. It was a little pricey but serice. I was disappointed that my Tri Tronics was 5 years old and spare parts were obsolete!! I had to "upgrade". I like the upgrade better. Basically new mud plugs and connecting style for chargers. Also 1 less charger due to dual leads. I am concerned how long spare parts will be available for this unit. The cost to upgrade to the G2 was just crazy. My old unit had been replaced by them and was just over 90days old and they wanted me to give it to them for nearly nothing. It was worse than trading in a car! My buddy has a G2 and he likes it . Less than 6 mos old and no complaints yet

I have a tri-tronics trash breaker two dog unit, bought new last fall. I have had over the years a feild 70 and a sportsmen 70 tri-tronics units also, the feild 70 model seem to use battery juice more but both worked great. A friend of mine has a DogTra unit that he speaks of great things. I try to look at what I want to get out of a collar and how much will I need to use it or want to use itto do. Then allways the price. Goodluck and let us know wich you choose to use. Thanks, Bill

I bought a tri-tronics trashbreaker in 98 and used it until mid season this year without any problems. Never even had to change batteries. I just sold it when my wife got me a new trashbreaker GL I believe is the model for Christmas. I love it already since it has a tone that my old one did not. I wouldn't hav3e anything but a tri-tronics.
