DR. Voo Doo & Ramblin' Ann travelin' Medicine Show !

Well these are what Ann and Doc has for you tonight!
now we been seeing alot of dens and we left a few on the ouside this night figuring a 50/50 sow shot! Doc has been coming along reasonably well for a cull, and Ann has alot of pup yet to go,but for a cull dog she has all the puzzle peices and fitting a few togather as we go.

den 1 nothing seen. Doc was slammin' it a while Ann opened and blasted the track with him, but lightly treed

Den 2 All Doc, Ann was tracking off alone and doing a good job. we were there a while and she held her track.

this aint no bench show!!!

well it coud be!.......... he had one.... we left it just in case.

Ann got treed no help and with pressure .we were across the feild on the creek, she was up a ridge.

water-head just had to help ! after the fact!!

Docs next tree had a small one. left it. Ann was working a track in the hollow, figured she had enough pressure, but it blew up and neither could straighten it out.

next tree Doc got had a coon in a viney fork left it. no sence in wasting a good coon if it hung-up in that mess.do more good falling out!

Oh yeah did I say this is what Ann worked and treed

nice and stinky 15 lb boar!!! Old Dude got some vidio too, how ever his light was... lets say messing up and the vidio is not so G rated!

NICE!

I can't think of any new compliments today! So... NICE!
Love to see your pix!!!!! Doc...arched back on that tree... not much looks better. He looks like a work of art. If I had patience (I lost that when my brain got bumped)... I would make a sculpture of Him on a tree! I would have Loved to have done that head, with those teeth! and those Muscles that weave their way from his skull to the tip of his tail.
I love coonhounds at work.... Thanks again Dan!
HappyHunting,Heather

Heather,
Thankx ! Do you paint? heck girl, you should, the way you describe that cull !

Dr. Voo Doo and Ramblin' Ann are litter mates, just shy of 1 1/2 years old. not to bad of a night for a couple farm culls! i guess I'll keep feeding the a while longer, just to see what happens !

Hey Dan,

Not very good at painting or drawing really. I used to do sculplture though. Dabbled in HS with lost wax bronze casting. Problem is it takes forever...have a few unfinished horses from HS! LOL... Even the wax would be harder now. My fingers get a bit stiff and sore and the concentration actually hurts my neck. I haven't tried any in a while...I MAY feel inspired.
SOme of my favorite hours as a kid, in an artists family... were the days the Museum of Fine Arts Boston was closed and I could wander thru. ALso my art teacher would bring my to the rewstoration room and I could see stuff not on exhibit. I LOVED the hounds in art. and the horses of course. My sculptures of horses were "terrible"LOL... my teacher said I was too close to the subject and couldn't look at them in an artists eye. I INSISTED on doing horses though.
There is an artist named Antoine Louis Barye (I may have that messed up)... he id INCREDIBLE animals. Some of his hounds are just amazing. The muscles and movements are perfect. Sort of like Michealangelos work in humans and his amazing Mary holding her son Jesus "Pietas"... not many can capture the MOVEMENT.... YOUR hound Doc... looks like that in most of the tree shots, to me.
I have always looked at the hounds with an artistss eye. The horses I was looking at with a scientists eye. THAT was the problem with the art! I should have done some of those hounds i was hunting! LOL...Live and learn.
I think, if you LOAN me those culls....LOL... I may get that art work done! LOL..... in about 20 years!
Hmm... I think I need to go find that sculptures wax in the basement! Heather

Heather.
now that is a a lost art ! I know a person or 2 that can draw and seen a few that could paint, even know a couple real tattooist that should be doing commissioned work only !
But casting in bronze......... one of a kinds.........unheard of any more.
you know I always seen, with these old eyes some of these things you speak of, the mechanics of nature.....just not good good at putting 3D to a flat plain !

RNG,

Thankx. I may try to take him a little farther on the bench this summer...... not sure if he will get past champion though.

Well Dan this is what I think...........

You call this thread the Doc And Ann " TRAVELIN" show and you show them on Trees

I think MY question to you is. Are they TRAVELIN to Old Wasington on the 10th?????????

I think DR Voo Doo shoud be hunted that night.

You know Dan I love looking at the Pics you put of them on here makes me think I did a good thing by making the Cross and a deal has been made to do it again.

hey man....... how mant times did i go up there to pleasure hunt?
soooooo it is a travlin' show !I am not sure yet. heres what i need to hunt doc..... coon, distance and no roads.I cut him with strange hounds he is gone till he gets treed, regardless of terrain. if ann had not came in season i'd hunt her, as she has some good check, and will not go as wide as doc. she just needs a liitle more tree work in my opinion. we are committed to a hunt with doc april 7 . Like i said i aint sure yet.
