The law at work

A 74 year old Isanti co. MN farmer apprehended a thief who he caught stealing gas at his neighbor's house. He held him at gun point until the sheriff's dept. arrived. Guess what, he was arrested and charge with 2nd degree assault and will be going to trial. The theif was arrested again a couple of days later on other charges. It was then discovered there was an outstanding felony warrant from another state he was then arrested and held. The county attorney said "we can't have people taking the law into their own hands, that's what we have police dept. for." Lesson, if someone is robbing you, call the police dept. they will come when they have time and find out what you lost. I'll bet if the farmer can get a jury trial he will win. Think they need a new county attorney in Isanti county.

PS. The gun wasn't even loaded.

I saw this on the news also....

The arrested farmers neighbors are outraged and have been putting a llot of preasure on the county attorney.

IMO, The County attorney looked like an arogant a-hole on the news, he needs to get his butt bounced badly, the arresting officers also need their heads thumped a bit also.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1 An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.
2. A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.
3. Colt: The original point and click interface.

4. Gun control is not about guns; it's about control.
5. If guns are outlawed, can we use swords?
6. If guns cause crime, then pencils cause misspelled words.
7. "Free" men do not ask permission to bear arms.
8. If you don't know your rights you don't have any.
9. Those who trade liberty for security have neither.
10. The United States Constitution (c) 1791. All Rights reserved.
11. What part of "shall not be infringed" do you not understand?

12. The Second Amendment is in place in case the politicians ignore the others.
13. 64,999,987 firearms owners killed no one yesterday.
14. Guns only have two enemies: rust and politicians.
15. Know guns, know peace, know safety. No guns, no peace, no safety.
16. You don't shoot to kill; you shoot to stay alive.
17. 911 - Government sponsored Dial-a-Prayer.
18. Assault is a behavior, not a device.
19. Criminals love gun control -- it makes their jobs safer.
20. If guns cause crime, then matches cause arson.
21. Only a government that is afraid of its citizens tries to control them.
22. You only have the rights you are willing to fight for.
23. Enforce the "gun control laws" we ALREADY have, don't make more.
24. When you remove the people's right to bear arms, you create slaves.

Huh............ here all this time I thought "gun control" was hittin what I was aimin at....

I always wondered how those folks who are agianst guns figured they would get guns out of the hands of folks who had decided to keep them.

Ask us nicely?

Go up empty handed and try to take them?

Aint that like goin bear huntin with a stick??

Here's one..

I read this somewhere's. This guy was at home and seen two people breaking into his outbuilding, so he called the cops and told them what was going on. the dispatcher told him all the police where busy so it would be 30-1 hour before anybody could get there. that ticked him off so he called back and told the lady not to be in a hurry, because he went out there and shot both of the robbers. well in about 5 minutes every cop was at his house. the cops went into the back yard and caught em in the building and arrested them. the sargent told the guy i thought you said you shot then. the guy told the sargent i thought ya'll said ya'll was busy!
