we have three MOH and BS judges in the club who donate their time to the club...we also trade back and forth with another local club and don't charge anyone

Our club offers to pay the cost of a moh or bsj's test to our members. This helps some, we also offer open free kitchen to them... when and if we have someone non-club related cover an event we usually pay them $50-$100 depending on how far they have traveled. How we try to recover is hope the kitchen has good sales, 50/50 raffle or we do other events like reverse raffles, spaghetti dinners etc. I know it is not easy for smaller clubs to have to do. The I scratch your back and you scratch mine is a good system as well.
