?? How Acurate should ???

A young dog from a totally different area. Such as Ohio to the swamp bottoms of coastal N.C? When you first start hunting here? A week out 2 tree's a night for a total of 12 trees for 6 nights Whats your opinion?

This is a confusing statement????

I would give the dog a little time to adjust, but after two weeks of hunting, he will probably be as accurate there as he was somewhere else. I doubt the dog really even knows he moved. The woods is probably the woods to him.

Sorry did not mean for to be confusing. You always here so much about taking dogs from one are to another them not having the drive to get in these Big Briar's and deal with all the water in these beaver ponds after getting use to a flat land or mountains. trying to guage what i got see if I am expecting to much or not is all.

Not trying to offend anyone but I know that your dog is going to take time to adjust to the different area. Many dogs that do great in open woods will pullup short when comfronted with the briars and deep water that we have here in these swamps.

Some dogs adjust real well, but I know I've seen some do better than others bringing them out to this dry country. I mostly hunt along a couple of rivers with real thick brush, and with the dry tracking conditions and thick brush some really struggle while others don't miss a beat.

Well His 12 tree's has passed. I would have to say for less than a yr old well will be 1 on the 18 th of this month. Out of 12 tree's I seen 11 coons one Blow over that fell over into 3 tree's. So I am happy with his performance. I would like to say Thank You to Pete Sloan for selling me such a fine dog.

Well this old blue pup is impressing more and more. Last night took him out with a broke 5 yr old walker female that my freind owns. Started out seen a possum at the rd ran off were we were going to turn lose at. Honestly did not know if we wanted to turn lose on that on not figuring that the dogs would tree it. Cut them lose anyway. That pup went in struck First then the walker female opened ran the track hard walker tree'd first Maniac would not tree, then heard pushing deeper little female pulled to him. tracked down thru the beaver pond. She pulled short again (coon tapped) Guessing this little female solid usally. But Maniac kept goning Finally treeing deep in that old swamp bottom beaver pond. One of the biggest old cypress trees I have seen in a long time. Really wanted to shoot that old coon but could not find him to shoot him You caould see the water running off of limbs but we could not see anything to knock out. We were both happy that they both passed up on that old possum to go in go that far and thru all that water to tree.
This little blue dog is going to be special I cant wait when i get his papers and start competion hunting him.
