We're extremely sorry to hear that Kennie.
We also just lost a hound. Found him yesterday morning on the roadside, dead. He had just came home with us on Saturday evening, from the Stines.
He stayed in the house that night, waiting for Dave to get a kennel ready for him. He played with the kids all evening, had frosted flakes for breakfast! The kids fell in love with him. He was so calm and gentle with them, for 14 months old, that surprised me. The kids went out to feed the other hounds, he shot out the door and took off. We hunted for him and tracked him all over, to no avail. Dave found him on his way to work yesterday morning.
I feel so bad, not only for Henry, and the kids that fell in love with him. But also for Wes and Dianne, they knew we'd take good care of him, they trusted us. I'm still sick over it. He hadn't started hunting yet, but we had big plans for him....I'M SORRY HENRY! WE'LL MISS YOU!!
