roll cages

need some advice please. im getting a roll cage for a 17 month old dog and dont have an older dog to help me so is there anything i can do to help get the dogs attention with the roll cage. he has been bawling and pawin at our glass doors when he sees the inside cats.

let the dog see the coon come out of the cage, and let them fight. next time he will rip that cage apart..
