State Hunt

I will do my best to make it. A state coon hunt sounds like a fun event.

There's just not that many guys hunting cur dogs in Michigan is there? I know there are a few around but they are far between. I always wondered why that is. You would think with our coon population, a cur type dog would satisfy alot of hunters up here. I don't know. Just asking.

Let me know if you want to plan a meeting Ron. I don't have a cur dog presently but am interested in possibly getting one for coon hunting. I know several MSDA members have said they'd like to enter this hunt. IN fact one of the things I want to talk to Gary about is possibly piggy backing a UKC "Fall Classic" Squirrel hunt on a Michigan State Coon hunt. Have the squirrel hunt on the same day at the same location. I really think we can make this happen. I just need to get on the phone and talk to Gary about this. Gary if you see this feel free to call me at (989) 445-0280.

Mike

PS I'd say another 4-6 guys could be counted on that are MSDA members

Cur & Feist Coon Hunts

I think it is a great idea. I used to do some coon comp. hunting when I had hounds but can't keep up with them anymore and sure wold like to do some comp. hunting with my Blackmouth Cur's. Ron is doing a good job of promoting your event. Hope the hunt grows. It would be a good place to have a fun hunt plus meet more Cur hunters with like interests coon hunting.

Registering

Yes you can. Have a pedigree to copy onto the UKC form and you will be all set.

If I can get Alok registered in time I plan on showing up to bench him. Do I need his OMCBA ped before I can UKC register him?
