Yellow Black Mouth Cur?

I need opinions of you folks who have experience with this dog.
I recently found what I believed to be a yellow lab. Very light color,no black on muzzle, ears set high on head, and slightly more yellow than body. But I'm now wondering if it is a BMC. First, it was covered with scars of horrible fights, second, it has black skin on the belly and inside of legs, it has a big, big bark, and while willing to try and retireve for me, it sometimes blows me off. I am trying to obedince train basic, sit..heel...stay, and the dog tries to please, but his dag blamed nose is always stuck to the ground and makeing a snuffelling sound. It seems to rule his brain, and sharp reminders on the choke chain, only get his attention until the next "track" comes along. Can someone help me absolutely distinguish a yellow lab from a yellow BMC? He looks exactly like a piture featured on a BMC website of a dog named Fieldstone Flower.
Thanks for your support.

Dogs Background

You can go to my website http://www.angelfire.com/mi4/pineriver and look at the pictures of Cry and Chief also check out the dogs on the other websites that are linked to my website and you will see what a YBMC is supposed to look like. I would doubt very much you found a YBMC but like you stated a Yellow Lab.

Thanks for all your help. Ifrisbie, this dog looks just like Chief, except muzzel is a hair shorter and broader, and there is no black on nose. Dog is very strong, demands attention to the exclusion of other dogs I need to work, has a big, big bark (not a bawl..just a big bark....annoying as heck....good thing he only does it when he sees me and wants me, or when he has a squirrel up a tree.

Hog hunting DOG?????????

Coverd with scars. Did you find a hog hunting dog. They usually have a scar or two. If he or she was worth anything, the owner is/was sick of losing him.
