Could be some kind of infection...Dogs can have "female problems" just like people. Your' vet should be able to tell ya.

I have a female that will be 2 in Nov. Last year she came in the last week in Nov during season. Is there pills or a shot that will throw her off? I really don't plann to breed her, but do not want to spay in case. When I asked my vet the other day his asst was covering and she never heard of such a thing nor did they stock anything! May be I should change vets!! I do know that if I lose another Nov with her in the woods she will probably never make it.

Thanks

pill

yes there is a pill that will hold off the heat cycle. don't know the name of it, but you may want to check around the other vets.

they can mix you a med. with a prescription.

it's called "mibolerone" Its a little pricey so you'll just have to weigh out it's worth. You just give like .5 to .65 cc's a day depending on her weight to keep her from coming in and when you quit giving it she is supposed to come in within 75 days.
