i have used 6x6 pvc privacy fencing in my kennels, and fits real snug. 42.00 for a 6x6 at the home depot. works great, washes off good, heavy duty and actually not slick at all, that was my concern at first but ben no problems in the winter, you can also buy them in 6x4 sections as well. i can put a pic on here if you like.Travis

get a bull panel with 4x4 holes, put it on the ground and that should fix the problem.

a lot of times

they will dig a hole to nest in, especially if it is hot out.

A thick layer of straw, or washable rags, or anything else they can move around will give them something to dig at without digging out. Often times, they just rearrange stuff constantly if they can.

I use an extra panel of pasture fence bent L-shaped around the bottom edge inside of the pen to keep mine from digging under the fence. There is dirt on top of the part on the ground, but when he digs too close to the fenceline, the wire underlayer hurts his paws so he prefers to dig in the center.

Emily,

She is not old enough to nest and it hasn't been hot enough to need to dig to cool off either

Thanks

Doug

Put pepper of chili powder in the hole, when the stur up the dig when digging it will get in their nose and hopefully discurage them from digging....Always worked for me.

digging

Maybe your dog is not getting enough exercise. Remember that these dogs are hunting dogs an like to exert alot of energy, and if a dog is not being hunted or being able to run alot to get rid of it's energy then a lot of times they will dig. Seeing that it is not real hot to make him/her dig now i would say that is my guess from the sidelines. I use alot of 12x12 blocks from a hardware store to put along the side of my kennels to keep them from digging out. Hope this helps....

24" wide dog wire

Cut it to the lengths you need, and lay it down and sit the pen on top of it. You can get a 100' roll for about 30 bucks.

Thanks for all the advice. I will try getting her more exercise to see if that helps too. Sounds like several suggestions may work.

Hey is this Doug Lawyer and are we talking about a lil girl named Queen??!! If so I think she is getting enough exercise, at least it sounds like it. LOL...what is she up to.... digging? She never dug here but... she had 6 other dogs/pups to keep in order, she was too busy. It's funny she is starting that now, she just wants to get closer to the family I think. Patrick may have some ideas if you can't get her/the pen straight.

Kristi

yes this is Doug Lawyer and yes it is Queen. It doesn't look like she is trying to dig out. SOme are by the fence others are in the middle of the pen. She may be bored while I am working. My son plays with her on some nights and I love on her every night. WE will see how things go. Gotta love her no matter what.

You are probably right, she just may be bored, remember if she needs a buddy back we still have that one dark male left, she won't care if it is her brother, but I don't think I can let him go, he is named already. LOL
