Lighten Up.....

I've been sick for the last few days, explaining why I've been on here so much. I am doing better so I'll be gone soon.

The thing that attracted me to coonhunting, and coonhounds (almost 40 yr. ago) was the fact that I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the dogs, hearing them run, watching them tree, and the total concept of hunting. I also enjoyed the fellowship; talking hounds, hanging out, going hunting and stopping to eat on the way.ect....

I raised a few litters of pups for one reason.........I really enjoyed it. It was not for the money, recognition, or to produce a world champ. The dogs I bred, and still breed, had the qualities to make a contribution to the breed, but the bottom line is that it brought me pleasure.

Whether you competetion hunt, raise pups, or just pleasure hunt remember ,above all, to have fun. No point in going after someone's juglar vein because they hunt another breed, or another strain of the breed you hunt!

Hunting with hounds are "Under Fire" enough as it is without all of us providing the " Kindling."

When hunting, and raising pups, talking dogs is no longer fun, and I can no longer enjoy it, I will quit and do something else.

LIFE IS SHORT, And so UNCERTAIN, so LIGHTEN UP!

Why do people get offended if you choose to hunt a breed different from theirs?

Why do people get offended if you choose to show your hounds on a bench?

Why do people get offended if you prefer comp. hunting over pleasure hunting, or the othere way around?

Why do people get offended if you strive to breed for an All Grand, or if you choose to breed to good coon dogs that no one has heard of?

Why do people get offended if someone sells a dog for a large sum of money, and the seller and buyer are both happy about it?

If a person is honest in what they do, and enjoys what they do, and are not hurting anyone in what they do, not doing wrong or breaking the law in what they do........Why complain about it????????????
