Fletcher's Stylish Jake

What do ya'll think about his pups? What kind of mouths do most of them have? The reason i ask is i have been really disappointed with the pups i have had off him and grandpups of him. Not horrible mouths, but a tick below average. They are good in other areas. get in the dark and get wooded, but have sort of odd small mouths on them.

Maybe its not the Jake dog, but something farther back, but of all the pups have diverse pedigrees. I surely like how ole Jake's bred, and was just wondering about other's experiences.

I hunted with a male about 6 months ago that was a super loud tree dog. I hunted against a female at the lucky dog bonanza that had an average mouth for a female.

I've hunted several times with a male that is about 16 mos old that a good friend of mine owns. The dog is super loud, one of the loudest I've ever hunted with! He will flat get in the dark and get treed, hold all the pressure you want to put on him. At sixteen mos if there is a weakness in him it is maybe just a little short on track speed although he finishes them and has the meat. Were hoping this improves with age.

jake jr.won second in the 2 year old futurity.
nowheres placed at autumn oaks.i think 1st both out of backwater pearl

and i think he has one world champion.there are several good dogs out of him as there are other studs with good and bad pups.the one i have seen looked o.k.

Russell,

Maybe your pups got their mother's mouths you can't really blame this on the sire I don't believe.Worldch Grnitech'pr' Little Woods Scar is re-producing pups with HUGE mouths and he also as i've been told has a Horn on him,But also did his mother Grnitech 'pr' Loose Tin Stylish Annie.Don't know maybe your pups will get bigger mouths as they mature good luck.

No, these pups were 10-15 months. I have 1 now that is off Rank and a Jake x Lipper female. Whose dam is a 1/2 mate to Brair Cliff Battle. Her mouth isnt all that great

could'nt tell ya why dog's mouths are like this a buddy of mine in rhea county randy miller has a very nice female out of skuna river fred that can win in the big pro hunts in pkc,but when she gets deep your beat.

Ah, it's just luck of the draw i guess. Thats why i was asking around. You can hunt with 10 pups off the same stud and still not be able to say all his pups are 1 way or another.
