Owning dogs with incorrect backgrounds.

After reading the post on Quick it made me think that many of you thowing rocks at a single registered dog owns dogs that have papers but incorrect backgrounds. I would be willing to bet that if you go back 6 generations that most of the walker dogs registered today have unkown or false ancesters on thier papers.

My papers only go back 3 generations. I don't know for sure and don't much care what is behind the 3rd generation. Mine look like coondogs. Good'nuff!

I don't think you could really say how correct they are unless you have raised them yourself.

I know that on 2 of my dogs that all the correct dogs are there for at least 5 and 6 generations. That is because they represent dogs either born and/or raised here. The last four or so generations have been DNA tested as well.

Beyond that I am fairly confident on the next 2 or 3 generations as I hunted with most of those dogs too.

Beyond that I have no way to know.

Unless you have raised them yourself you really are never 100% sure.
