my dog is hoarse

MJ....our young hound was bitten by a coon and soon after lost his bark. After several trips to the vet and dose after dose of antiobiotics, nothing helped. Went to the small animal clinic at A&M and $800 later....still no bark. Seems his vocal chords are partially paralyzed. Don't know if he'll ever recover which is really sad since he was treeing on his own at a year old. If anyone has any remedy we haven't tried, please let us know.
