Camping Question

I am camping this winter been wondering will I be better of sleeping in my truck cab or a tent to stay warm I have a quad cab with plenty of room so comfort would not be an issue, but warmth is my major concern.

Not good no matter how you look at it. When I was in the Army in Germany we slept in tents with no floor with a foot of snow on the ground. COLD. One night it was -10. We slept in the back of a deuce in half with a steel floor. COLD. As long as you don't run your truck and gas yourself it would be your best bet.

Whichever shelter you choose, I would recommend going to an Army Surplus store and get an Artic Mummy Sleeping bag. Those things are WARM! They are made for sub zero temps.

On another note, I had a neighbor who was in the Battle of the Bulge during WWII. He said he would gather up blankets from the dead soldiers all day. At nite he would set down 6 blankets, lay down and then cover up with 6 blankets. Then in the morning, he would gather up the 6 blankets that covered him and take them along, and leave the 6 that he slept on frozen to the ground! Now that's cold!
