Question

I Performance Sired Flatrock River Sowder, he will be Performance Sire January 1st, does the female have to be bred after January 1st or the pups have to be born after January 1st? for example, can I breed the female November 5th and the pups born January 5th, will the pups be Performance pups?
Thank You

Hey, John! Good question!

A litter out of a Performance Sire has to be "BORN" in the year that the sire is nominated.

Example: You can breed a female in November '06 to an '07 Performance Sire and nominate the litter when it is born in January '07.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Cindy

Curt - Not sure about your question either. You say your dog is perm. nominated. He's set then as far as hunting him for points. But that does not make him eligible to breed to females for a performance litter. You will need to nominate him as a sire first. After that, it is not necessary for the female to be nominated to raise a performance litter. Just the sire. You nominate a litter just by checking a box on the litter application when you register your pups. That and include the $25 nomination fee.

Did I understand your question?

One more question? How do I nominate him as a sire and what is that cost?
