Smart Coon Hounds

I have to feed my dogs, before i go to work, because, they all bark, at feeding time. Today i kept hearing, this real loud slam, it sounded like someone, was beating, on the side of this old shed, with a sledge hammer. I finished feeding, i went around there, to see Sugar Bear, she's a black&tan, female, she had this board, in her teeth, it was still nailed, to the shed. She would pull it back as far, as she could, then, let it go, it would make a real loud slam, noise, she had the rest of the dogs, all barking, at her. Then she looked up at me with this real innocent look, like i didn't do it. She is real pretty, long eared, she'll rear up, on her hind legs and paw the air like a horse, she is a smart dog, real ornery.

LOL!

That sounds Great! It is amazing WHAT they will learn to do to get attention. Our B and T Webster sits in front of us as we sit on the sofa... he begins to blink and look sleepy and cute and droopy... if you aren't educated in his ways... you get up and give him the seat. If this doesn't work he'll run around the back of the sofa and woof like he needs to go out... and you get up and he steals the seat. AND= HE IS THE DUMB one! LOL! Hounds in general, the greyhounds I've owned too are VERY smart= too smart for Most owners. That is why they seem stubborn etc... When we can take advantage of their smarts we SURE do get amazing hounds! LOL... IF we can conquer the smarts that is!
Happy hunting! Heather WIlliam

That reminds me of...

Nothing to do with dogs.

After watching a movie about ghosts and supernatural forces, I went to sleep in the living room.

During the night, I heard banging and clattering sounds coming from my kitchen. I knew that there wasn't anyone in the house but me, so I wasn't checking it out!!! The noise persisted!

In the morning I found out what was making all this noise. I had a plastic mousetrap set, and caught one by the nose. The mouse was banging the trap off the baseboard, my back door, and the fridge.

I would feed Ole Eagle Creek Till and go in the house. I would come out a while later and he would be at the door. I went to check his kennel and found no holes. Put him up and a while later he was at the door. Put him back up and hid and watched around the corner of the shed. He sat there for a while then walked up to the kennel door and took his nose and unlatched it and came out.
