Jason and Jeff
Hi,
Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it and Iron Man is deserving of a hunter who would put him in the woods more often than I do.
He and Jake are the last of my line of dogs that go back to Trap from old Ziggy through old Zoom, that I own. Art and I are partners on Jake.
I am not crazy about hunting them much. I just lost my little Sadie to a highway 2 weeks ago. That hurt. I waited 5 years to get a pup out of Dual Gr Queen, out of my old Gr Ch Nt Ch Lill. Queen only had one litter. Tom Cooney, NE, 402-297-3005, owned her. Call him and ask him about her. I had planned to breed her to Iron Man. I just sat down in the middle of the hwy, in the rain, and cried. I don't mind admitting it. These dogs are my family. I have put an enormous amount of time, energy, and countless hours of sleepless nights, agonizing over the best cross to make.
Iron Man is a UKC Performance Sire and will continue to be. He is PKC registered. He is ACHA registered. If I can help you with a pup at 8-10 weeks old, let me know. They are $750 either sex with a $300 deposit. I have had several calls for young started dogs. I simply don't have them. I don't have time to keep my own dogs hunted and in shape, but if you want to come some winter night, after midnight with the moon bright, the frost covering the ground like snow, the ez coons killed and kittens non existentent, come for a hunt. Mike Warlick of North Carolina did. Call him and ask him what he thinks. Phone 704-500-7384.
Iron Man is like having a stealth fighter jet. Here, there with a big scream on track. He locates with 1-3 screams and trees with a mix of very loud screams, squalls, and chops. Just like Lipper did. He is not mouthy on track and runs to catch the coon. He puts these traits in his pups. Ask Don Hicks, of Texas, phone 817-521-7402.
It has all been worth it. Titles aren't on them, but if you have the time, the patience to hunt them while they develop,(because you won't find a smarter dog with a bigger heart than these hounds), it will pay off, with a hound that will turn heads. You can pay more for pups than I charge with big fancy titles, but you won't buy a better pup.
Jason Clark, PA, phone 724-841-6580, has a nice pair of female littermates to Iron Man. I own their other littermate, Tanna. I breed for small litters. They are better dogs. Think about it. When they are tiny and competing for a limited amount of nutrition, do you want to produce a 12 pup litter that might have some good pups or a 4 pup litter, who have a significantly better chance of being properly nourished and a head full of sense, because of better genetics and a developed brain? Not starved for proper nutrtion, due to too much competition for milk. I also own a female out of Spot, Sage, that is going to be a special hound. There are some male littermates to Sage that are going to develop into hounds people will want to own. They won't be cheap, if sold at all.
Jeff Wyatt, MO, phone 660-888-1717, has 2 pups out of Iron Man that will get your attention with very limited hunting. Superman had the loudest mouth I ever heard on a puppy. He has an absolutely HUGE mouth and it is still improving. He is going through puberty and it cracks sometimes. He has 2 wins towards HTX in 2 hunts. The female, Laptop, is loud and wants to ambush a coon just like her brother and Iron Man.
I supervise a busy Emergency Room here in Missouri at night. I don't get to hunt like I want. I breed the most natural dog I can possibly put on the ground. With the best nose and the most brains possible. Why? I breed, raise and hunt, my own stock. I have for 40 years. I don't have time to retrain, fix screw-ups and/or train an idiot. They have to be naturals. I try to take off every night I can through coon season. Come hunt any winter night, after midnight, when the ez coons are in bed, the moon is up bright, the frost on the ground is white and thick as snow, and we will go hunting. We will turn your hound loose and see what happens. Come back to the truck and turn loose whatever I put in the box and go right back up the same draw. Boys, I don't have anything to hide. These dogs speak for themselves. The pups are out there. Their owners and phone numbers are on page 31 of my Zig thread. Call them.
Good Hunting,
Robert
PS Call Jeff and ask him how fast Superman and Tanna are on track, lol. Phone 660-888-1717. Jeff has a really nice hound. El Sid, is what I call him. He is Finley River Dan bred with a little Lipper added. He is a Dual Gr Ch HTX. The most important part to me? He is a coondog anywhere, anytime, any terrain, and in any weather. I am going to try my best to own some part of that hound. Wish me luck.
