2 yr old nitech pkc champ male
Recently bought this male. He boogers to much for me. On a good track he runs it as good as anything, but he hits a lot of tracks that are too cold to be messing with. I’ve been working on him on breaking it but I’m not that patient. That’s the bad on him.
Now the good
Great mouth- high pitched and can hear across the country
Small built
Great handle- loads, turns around on the tailgate so you can collar him. Call him to you in the wood. Pulls on the lead but working on that and getting better.
Very accurate- only 3 trees I couldn’t find a coon since I’ve had him and they would have been circled in a hunt.
Stay put tree dog- when he parks and trees good, he’ll be there when you get there. Trees hard and you don’t have to worry about the time being put on him.
Independent- if he trees 1st any dog can back him. Otherwise, he’ll be on his own tree.
Good manners- no fuss with any other dog on the tree.
Honest 1st strike- not a babbling idiot but will have 1st most of the time.
1st tree dog- nice bawl locate and turns over to a fast chop.
Never stands around- hunts from the moment you cut him until you go get him. Not a blow through the country do either. Hunts the woods out. Goes deep if he needs to.
Break him of the boogering and you’ll have a very nice hound. I’ve had him in two casts and ran old track right at the end when he needed a coon to win. He has a nice stack of wins to go with him already. Take him to town and add to them. Almost 1k won in pkc and 2 nitech wins.
9k takes him home.
