? on overdue pups
I've raised a few litters but never had this problem to this extent.
my female was due last Sat on the 6th of may . It is now Thurs the 11th. She has been lightly milking all week but showing no signs of trying to have them. How long should I let her go before
doing something ?

If she's going on 68 days,i'd take her now to a vet.

it goes by when the eggs drop, not so much as the days, if you bred her early, maybe. but it is hard to watch, esp if she is loosing milk, i would take her in also, see what they say.
had 1 go 72 days but she only had two pups one was very large and the other was very small and never developed right so vet would be good idea

had a buddy who had a female that went seventy-somthing day and just like redneckcoondog she only had 2 one was super big and the other one was normal.the big one never got off his belly, had to put him down.the other one is just fine.
Thanks for the input I talked to 3 different vets and they all pretty much said the same thing . If she is acting fine and there is no discharge to go ahead and let her go to up to ten days over. So it looks like a waiting game hoping every thing goes ok. One also said it could be a false pregnancy. That would be a dirty trick but it would be better than a complicated delivery

yes she does look pregnant and when I felt her sides I felt what could be described as harder lumps inside which I am thinking is the pups but I have been wrong before
