might seem weird but spred the word

we need more coon hunters and there dogs to come to hunts ive been reading some posts about how low the attendince is so we need to tell people about what it is we do and get more people out there hunting with us because if we dont there will be less and less dogs and people at the hunts and us coon hunters will suffer and then have to close i know that we dont want that know do we?????so lets spred the word.

WRITE A LETTER TO THE OUTDOOR CHANNEL OFFERING TO TAKE THEM ON A HUNT. MIGHT INFLUENCE A FEW PEOPLE TO TAKE UP HOUND HUNTING!!!

Good Idea,

I would love to take an Outdoor Channel out for a Coonhunt, have it on tape.
I bet if more people knew what all was involved in Coonhunting, and how much fun Competition hunting was, we would have alot more Coonhunters.

Im Raising and Training a Coonhunter, Hope that helps. LOL

I think this is a great idea!

I was just teasing H n H about my blue dog... but I really think this is a super idea. I have watched Turkey hunting and deer hunting shows (even though I'm not into it) and some of the Gundog stuff just to see the dogs. What a great way to show people what the hounds can do!
H in H you're a good kid. Heather

I think this forum really gets people thinking about a lot of subjects. Even some of the smart alec kids, hi?
I really think alot of you young kids have to help to keep the sport alive and also LEARN everything you can about maintaining the breeds!!!!! keeping the dogs hunting!
Walkerdude15... I bet you're a good kid too Heather

When I go to a hunt I'm asked to guide, when I guide or my hunting buddy guides people we took to our hunting places suddenly have permission to property next to ours. Of course they are always on the places we hunt. Then we are told all hunting is to stop by the landowners. we once had 3500 acres on a creek not to far from the house. We are down to probably 500 now.

That's good to hear,

I'm happy to say... even though I was a city slicker I learned pretty well. I also had the greatest parents who let us experience Everything we could. We didn't hunt with them but fished and traveled etc.... They LET me go coonhunting. I never told the kids I went to school with in town... they would have barely known what a coon was!!! I MUCH prefered my life at summer camp. From 1973-1979 I spent every summer and every vacation there on the farm. I loved the hounds SO much! And the roosters and chickens... whcih I have here too! AND... that was where I met my husband, who is the BEST find of my life. He is my friend and companion...you can't ask for more! His family raised Beagles.... the poor dude had to live with a Noisy Beagle pack! As a teen, trying to sneak in late.... it was hopeless at his farm! I never tried sneaking in late!
I was SOOOO jealous that HE was a country Bumpkin! Haha.... he lived on a little horse farm! It was better than the city! Heather

well know thats a whole diffrent story if no one bought gas for 2 days and i mean no one there would be so much gass that they would take it back down to 150 or so but no one will listen to me.

WOAH!

If my son Richard is a freshman in college... does that mean he'll graduate in 2009?! Wow... I'm old!
Brandon is 15 and a freshman in HS....so he must be class of 09 too! And poor Dylan... he is 13 and in 6th grade! His late mum and dad (my husband) had him start school late... so he is WAY older and WAY taller than his friends! I think it's cute... but I'm 4'11" so I'm amused by heights anyway! Heck, all the kids are taller than ME by 3rd grade!
