Pups and caged coons.

Delete if this is the wrong place for this.

At what age would you recommend showing a pup a caged coon. I have a 4 month old blue tic and I was wondering if he was to young to show him a caged coon. I appreciate everyone's opinion.

I don't like messing with a caged coon too much period. Show them 1 maybe 2 when they are ready to start trailing and treeing, but I have worked with several dogs that would bay an empty cage because of over use. In my opinion, your dog is the perfect age to go on walks at night without another dog. Even a few walks in the daytime as long as it doesn't start going after off game. I have a lot of suggestions if you're asking and you can text or call me 573-712-8173.
