Opinion on thermals
What is the best to use in thick foliage?
This time of year, none of them! Too many hot spots from the sun all day and just extra weight to carry! When it’s cold out, they are awesome!! This time of year, not so much, in my opinion!
Thermals
I have owned several and they are not magic. Sometimes you find the coon very quickly other times you have to work at it. I have found coon that would not show up on a thermal. With that said, I'm 76 and don't see as well as I used to so I carry one all the time. I presently own an Iray Finder which surprisingly seems to be better in the summer with the leaves on than in the winter without them. I think the best I have used is the old original AGM ASP but they are not made anymore. If I could sell this one I have I would try the new AGM Reach. Don't think any of the cheaper ones really work but there may be something out there that does. Just my 2 cents worth.
