Performance Program

UKC has "discontinued" the Performance Rewards Program. When we paid to enroll our dogs in the program we were told that our dogs would earn points and be paid for those points over the lifetime of our dogs. Will we now be reimbursed for any money that they would have theoretically earned in their lifetime? I mean, we signed a contract with UKC when we nominated them to that effect. Isn't it a binding contract?

I'm not familiar with the performance rewards program but I have sold stuff in my line of work with lifetime warranty. When the company that provided the warranty would decide to discontinue the life time warranty they and we would honor all that were sold up to that point in time. They grandfathered in you might say. They were non transferable in any form. So they were eliminated over time

Good question many of us would like an answer to. We've paid $150 for several litters to be enrolled for their lifetime some of which are just now even old enough to hunt in a hunt. Sires only got refunded for the current year of 2025. We've got a lot of money invested in this program with now no way to ever recoup.

Performance program

2 months ago I paid to have a litter Performanced when I sent in my paperwork.

Couple weeks ago they refund my performance fee and sent me a letter saying they were doing away with the program.

They could send me that letter but sure enough still no paperwork for my litter lol

i have paid willy up over the past 8 years. To me the worst deal is all the trainers and breeders that paid pups up last year. what happens to all that money? I registered several litters of pups, paid the litters up or paid the pup up in the program. Im assuming that is all a complete loss?

I'd love to know what happen to the money??Did the performance program pay out ever year to a zero balance or what? I figured they wouldnt accept anymore sires or pups but pay the rest of them out until the account was empty!!! Ukc dropped the ball on this one.

Yet we keep participating With ukc. At some point we need to recognize it is our own fault!

I think that’s a bit much! The UKC is still an excellent organization, and the problems with the customer service, to my experience anyhow, have only been the last 6 months or so. I also agree that they have dropped the ball by discontinuing the performance program. I’ve been building a nice pen of females hoping to get involved in the program for the last couple years and am disappointed that now that I’m finally ready to breed they have done away with it. I can understand for sure how people that have invested as much as some of the people commenting on here have would be quite upset & rightly so. I can’t help but wonder if enough people contacted the UKC directly expressing their dissatisfaction if they in turn might reinstate the program, or at least give a better explanation of their choice to do away with the performance program that was given in this months Bloodlines.


With our way of life coming under attack the way it has in the past years the last thing we need is to start infighting. We need all the kennel clubs we can, and all they do for hound hunting.

I spent $150 to pay up a litter last September. I guess that was thrown away.
