Smokey River line bred

This little female is about 1 1/2, decent mouth, smaller build, very little experience. She goes back to Smokey River Buck on the top and is Smokey River chief on the bottom through many different hounds. There were 3 females in the litter and I have picked the 1 I want to keep for my own hunting and breeding. I have sold 1 of the other females recently and this is the one left now. The dam hunting style: quick tree dog, independent, good mouth, 50% accuracy, more hot nosed though, has to be kept hunted up or she'll make more errors. The sire hunting style: cold nosed track dog, good mouth in range but doesn't carry well, a little slow to settle in on the tree until he has checked himself, stay put tree dog once he's locked on, same hound if you hunt him every night for 6 weeks or take him once every month. So just to give everyone a feel of what this little hound has the potential to do. I have kept a litter mate female, I named Eunice and haven't done much with her. The reason I decided to keep her is because she gets motion sick when hauled any distance. I would turn her out on Saturday morning, with 2 other pups, when I was working around the house. All they really did was get in to mischief, chasing cats, running off to the neighbors, and even ran a deer on 2 different occasions. Now since about Aug or Sept I haven't had any of them out in the daytime but once. I've been working with other young dogs had just ignored Eunice until it came her turn. She has been hunted about 3-4 times at night until Feb got here. We didn't tree a coon on any of those occasions. I have hunted her the last 4 nights. Night 1: I walked her from the house and she stayed with in 100 yards until she decided to go back home with out me. Treed 0. Night 2: I hauled her 1/2 mile down the road to turn her out on a corn pile along the creek. I actually saw the coon run off from the corn pile and run away. She didn't see or hear it, so I began walking the way I saw it run. She didn't wanted to cross the water but I just kept walking and calling until she came to me. I waited and followed her as she smelled on the ground without a sound. She came to a tree that was about 100-125 from the corn pile and smelled up on it but then milled around. I shined the tree and saw the coon. Night 3: I had a caged coon that I let her see in the trap and smell but when it growled she ran backwards. I led her back about 40 feet and released the coon to watch it run off as far as I could. Then I turned her loose and she went to smelling around but not in the right direction. I just kept walking the way I had last seen the coon and she circled ahead of me and opened 1 time. Went about 30 yards and fell treed. I walked to her to see the coon looking down at me. Night 4: I took her with another young dog that has been doing well lately. They struck and went 30-50 yards farther and fell treed. I let them tree just a little bit and then they split up. When we walked in she had the coon. I say all this to say " just because this other female isn't doing much yet, don't be mislead. At this older age they can learn and develop by leaps and bounds in the right opportunities"
