Any supplements to help promote nerves in a dog hit by car

Had a dog hit by a car two weeks ago, all in all doing well considering. Front left legs has feeling on the two inside toes not so much on the outer three. Not looking for a miracle just looking to be able to try and do all we can to get her to be able to use her leg again. Understand time is a key factor just didn't know if there was anything that may help

I would be giving her dexamethasone and rimadly to help with inflammation which may also help with those nerve pathways.

What part of the injury caused the nerve damage?

Not exactly sure of your question. She was hit by a car and completely lifeless out side of breathing when I found her. Fractured opposite side leg which she is able to walk on fine. All cuts were semi minor and handled with a few stitches and staples. Leg in question like mentioned, the vet says has some feeling on the inside two toes and not much if any on the outer 3. Once again I am aware that time is of the essence was only asking so we could say we gave her everything possible to help. The leg in question has came a long ways since coming home from the vet two weeks ago. Started off dragging her leg as if she didn't even know she had it too holding it up off the ground while she walked on the other three. Now she is running/trotting with the leg touching the ground as if she's trying to use it. It is only the bottom ankle down to the pad.

Thanks Jennifer, we currently have her on rimadly. I will check into the dexamethasone. Thank you for your response

I was thinking there was an area of injury that pin pointed the nerve damage location…

Taurine and Glycine supplements several times a day for a month or so, both promote all types of healing including nerve damage repair or improvement…exercise will increase blood flow to damaged areas which accelerates healing…

Rick I had one hit years ago busted one leg up they put it back together she was getting around on it pretty good but seemed to be nerve issues in a couple toes as she chewed on them. Not to the point of doing damage but just wouldn't leave them alone. Ended up taking the leg off she was much better off. Hope yours comes along fine.

Were the cuts on the leg/foot in question? Severed nerves are repaired in humans. Damaged nerves also grow and repair themselves over time if not completely severed. Bruised and injured nerves just need time to heal. Moderate exercise to keep circulation, I mentioned the dex and rimadyl for inflammation already and thinking maybe even treat it like you would a human with physical therapy and massage. Swimming would be a great low impact exercise when her broken leg is healed enough.
Just been thinking what I would do if she were mine and I usually think what would they do if the dog were a human lol.
