70 Year Anniversary of UKC Licensed Nite Hunts!

Episode 67 of the UKC Hunting Podcast dropped today and is probably one of my personal favorites up to this point. September 18, 1953 was the first ever UKC licensed nite hunt. This year, September 18, 2023 will be the 70th Anniversary of that historic event. While at Autumn Oaks, Allen and I were able to bring Steve Fielder on with us to talk about the history of nite hunts. I sure hope you all enjoy this one.

I have attached pictures for reference of both the 1st Scorecard used, as well as the event report from the November/December 1953 issue of Bloodlines.

Hunts

I love this post, I grew up coon hunting and hunted in many local hunts. I never traveled due to work and family obligations, but sure loved seeing the big hunt dogs, handlers and scores. I remember Dale Brandenburg being a big part of the hunts, he had many good dogs over the years. Dave
