You have about a 1 in 14 chance of winning $1000 or more.

1 in 14 chance is assuming all of the dogs are equal. If your dog is better than average, your odds go up. If you have a really good dog, your odds go way up. Some hunters get a lot of enjoyment out of just competing against other really good dogs and that is why they pay the $150. When you go on a vacation, do you expect to win any money back?
