female peeing inside kennel dog box
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do to keep her from doing this? Thanks.

Try decreasing the space in her dog box. I put a cement block in the box at any angle to take up more space. It maybe didn’t completely stop it but slowed the bad habit down. A little less hay/straw might help as well.

I have a female that will do the same, I was changing her bedding every couple days. I tried straw, hay, cedar chips, and pine. She still done it. I tried the thin padded mats you would use for a wire dog crate. I bought it at the farm store and put a cheap carpet rug on top of it, she hasn’t done it one time since. I know the mat/rugs alone wouldn’t be enough for her here in the winter She does have a heater in there and flap on her door. So if you have a way to keep her warm it’s worth a try.

Only way I have ever stopped it is similar to what Jeremy said, but will just put a rubber stall mat down cut to fit. You can try feeding in the box too. It’s a nasty habit. I despise it.
