Erwin Massengill memorial hunt

The Duplin County CHA in Kenansville NC will be hosting the Erwin Massengill memorial hunt and show on November 5,2022. The club is located at 1273 E Ward's Bridge Road, Kenansville NC. Mr Massengill was a long time respected breeder of English dogs. He was also a regular at the events held at Duplin County CHA. We will be awarding king and queen English of show in the bench show , we will also be awarding high scoring English of hunt in the nite hunt. Bench show deadline is 3 PM with a $15 entry fee, nite hunt deadline is 7 PM with a $25 entry fee. Please make plans to attend and help us honor the man we all affectionately knew as Mr. Erwin.

Didn't know that he had passed away.

Brings back some old memories of phone conversations and personal conversations.

The thing I remember most though is that, on a family vacation, I blocked off one night to go hunting with Zip Code (we were going near that area anyway). Sonny Peoples took me hunting with Zip Code, then took me back to our motel. After that, we continued our vacation. That was 16 years ago. Easy to remember because my daughter was one at the time.

Rest in Peace Erwin. Enjoy Sputnik, Dooley, Dooley II, Zip Code, and others (once again).
