I believe there is no coon season in Arkansas- they are not considered a game animal there. I could be wrong- but that is what I remember.

We are going to the white river refuge the weekend of thanksgiving and I saw the cache river too on onyx. What kind of hunting is it? Is it similar to the white river? How is the access? First timers here sorry about the dumb questions.

WWR

Yes the Cache is very similar to the WWR. They have plenty of access points as well. They don't require a paid permit for the Cache just the signed form I included a link for but the WWR does require a $20.00 permit you can buy online.

Im considering a trip next couple weeks or month So I realy dont wanna pull a trailer that far from SC to haul a 4 wheeler Is it worth the trip to hunt off foot or would it be too hard to keep up with the hounds I could careless about carring a rifle but i like to hunt ONE DOG from tree to tree just score and recut.I have seen cabins for rent by weekly Anyone care to reference A BASIC SIMPLE PLACE WITH BED and SHOWER Just something simple close to hunting area DOG FRIENDLY Maybe MOM and POP , possibly even camper rental 3/5 Nights 843-841-5008

James, in my opinion White River Refuge is not a very good place for that kind of hunting. It can get very crowded, you will get a long way from your vehicle and across some deep water. It is more a drop and move type of place.
