I have an almost 12-year-old male. DOB 5/17/2010. He has 3 wins in UKC and has been UKC DNA'd. Also, PKC registered.
I used him to start 2 pups that are now grown dogs (one a Grand Nite with 5 wins towards Grand Nite 2) and don't hunt this dog much and hate to see him sitting in the pen.
He looks like a clover dog, white-faced and open spotted. He is smaller built, about 45-50 lbs. Bawl on track and chop and short bawl on tree.
Hunt's medium to close alone. Will hunt out about 500-700 yards then make a circle and come back. You can send him on the other way or leash him and go somewhere else.
When he's hunting with company he will go as far as they want to go.
He knows his name and you can call him in most times. Has an easy handle as well. He does bark in the pen some when there is a strange person or animal in the yard but will stop if you tell him to "hush". He also barks in the box sometimes.
His mouth is still decent for his age, he's not super loud but it carries loud and he doesn't overhunt his mouth (unless he's with company, and then it could happen, lol).
He is healthy, but not in hunting shape - you will want to take it easy on him the first few weeks probably.
He has ONE issue - and to some people this is a perk...
I think he might be a little ill at the tree and I think a previous owner might have "light broke" him. The reason I say this is because in the 3 UKC casts that he got a win in I think he tried to run another dog off the tree.
I have never caught him doing this, I've never heard him doing this, I only have a very heavy suspicion based on the way the other dogs acted towards him at the tree.
This might just be something he does with 'strange' dogs because I used him to start 2 pups and never had any issues. I didn't put him in any competition hunts back then because he was only my 'pup trainer' and the wins he has were at my local club when I didn't have anything else to hunt, lol. Also, he only has one dropped testicle.
I will take $500 for him. I'm located in Middle Tennessee (Manchester) and you are welcome to come go hunting with him if you want.

Still here. Several say they want him but none have shown up with the cash yet.

Well the old dog gets it honest! Let’s just say Sadie could be a little touchy at the tree. Her Owner, Dan Ham, would just grin and agree with that statement.
Dan will no longer be able to do so as passed away a week ago, services begin tomorrow evening in Martinsville, IN.
Sadie and a mostly white Boone Creek Mike dog he called Rocket were a couple of Dan’s favorite hounds. He placed Rocket in top 20 of UKC World two years in a row back in early 90’s, knocking off a few big name dogs of that time along the way.
