It is just like any political office. You make it back in donations from exhibitors. Sometimes you have to get your family to collect the donations.
Quick decades!! For sure
Thought about it many times but figured most shows are milking time so let it go . Now since body( not that it was ever in big demand) is loosing some of the hunt I figured I would donate my time to the clubs! Also thinking that some of the most dependable judges are a little ahead on the race down the hill Was surprised when I looked into it !!! I know it’s for the fellow houndsmen( m and Fem.!) but when I saw the number, well darn!... I haven’t checked the list, is there plenty or Would an extra come in handy? Richard, yes sir!
Just looked,40 on the list. 1 forsure has passed on.
Thats for Wisconsin. .....The number of MOH is way less!
UKC has a high opinion of their self.

I don't know how you came up with the $150 figure, but I spent a great deal more than that 30+years ago on fuel alone doing my apprenticeships. Having this license has given me the opportunity to judge some unusual shows in unique places over the years. I've had the pleasure to meet many people and evaluate numerous high quality dogs including 2 dogs that went on to win the World Show after I chose them at the qualifying level. If you expect to recoup your "investment" financially, don't bother to begin the process JMO.

Wild ride, good point!
Cowboy red, just the price on paperwork. The rest of the expense is all part of it, just the app. Fee just seemed off.
I don’t t know how many are still with us but I bet only half are actively judging
?if that ... one reason I was considering going fir it now. Cowboyred sounds like you put in some Goid time, thanks and glad you are judging
