scoring ?
I was out walking the hounds tonight and wondered how this would be scored in a hunt. The dogs chased a coon in a tree that has a big hole less than 4 feet off the ground. I can hear the coon constantly growling at the dogs , until I pulled the dogs off the tree and dragged them away. Would this be plus points or circled points in a ukc hunt.

I have my best hound now. Cricket out of Moonlight/Outlaw Mac by Feldmans Roxie,
Dogs would be scratched for attempting to fight and the aggressors not known. Lol
Coon must be seen therefore circle up.

If coon isn’t seen it should be circled as a den. However, if the majority of the dogs or all dogs are there, l’ll bet it’s plussed more often than circled. If the hole isn’t any higher than that in a tree, I’m going to do all I can to see the coon.

Unless a coon can be seen by the majority of the cast or a non-hunting judge you can't award plus points even if you "know" there is a coon there.
