I know a lot of people on this message board love to try and figure what makes these hounds click. This podcast on the wipeout hounds gives some great insight to a winning line of hounds. Listen and see how and where it all started.

It’s not talked about much on this forum but Zeb was no doubt the greatest reproducer of all time. Think about how many pups some of the bigger named stud dogs had back then and yet his blood is still dominating the major hunts today. Now I will say that line isn’t for everyone but if you want a big time winner it’s almost impossible to hang with a wipeout dog that’s right.
You're correct sir. Why do you believe he is never talked about?

You can use the search on this site and find some info on
Zep Again when he was young and follow him when they weren't really sure of how he would reproduce and do.

If you look at most of the so called wipeout dogs that won most of the money. They were out of females that were out of either rat attack or tequila sunrise. So were does the dog get there talent from? I think it’s a combination and a result of good breeding. Hard to give all the credit to one specific bloodline unless the dogs are line bred.

Well I agree to a certain extent. But most of the good rat females that crossed well on wipeout were also wipeout breed. Go back and look at cyclone pedigree. Also Zeb 3 was 3/4 wipeout and 1/4 clover. Kiddy told me clover crossed the best on wipeout. But when you look at rat it only crossed well on clover and wipeout. At least the ones I liked. But you can’t argue the fact that for over the last decade trying to win a major hunt without some wipeout on the end of your lead was like taking a knife to a gun fight. Not saying all hunts but as a general rule.
