Who uses a Garmin Instinct 1 or 2 with their garmin held had? Is it worth the $?
Thinking on getting the Garmin Instinct. Can anyone elaborate?
Thanks for your information.

I have an Instinct watch, and I like it. I wear it as an everyday watch and just not for hunting. As far as hunting goes I will just peak at it to see the distance and direction of the dogs, instead of pulling my alpha out of my chest pocket all the time. They also have a stopwatch app on them. Also the compass is a nice feature.
One draw back I have noticed is that the temperature display is almost always incorrect.
I absolutely love my instinct watch and will agree with everything in the above post, except that the temperature is based on the readings it receives from whatever phone it is paired with (or at least mine is lol) so if my phone is saying 39 degrees that is what my watch will say.

Geminite,
Thanks for the tip on the temperature. I don’t think I have my connected to my phone via Bluetooth. I will give it a try and see if the temp becomes accurate
Download the garmin connect app on your phone and it can also track other stuff - health, sleep, exercise, etc

I have the Garmin Fenix 5 and love it,
But I like gadgets it might not be for everyone but for an outdoor person it’s great
I got the Garmin Instinct 2 Solar Tactical for $535 after taxes.
I do not feel the watch itself is worth $200.
The dog tracker does tell you how many yards away your dog is. But the pointing of the arrow is continuously off and I still have to pull out the Garmin hand held. I will be sending this high tech overpriced watch back to the seller. I will get the low end Garmin Instinct durable watch for $180 on Amazon cause I liked the 2 hour count down, stop watch and other features. Also I can at least see how many yards my dog is away when he has been quiet for awhile without pulling the hand held out. Hope this info is useful.

Your sure welcome! Let me know if your arrow points in the right direction of your dog.
