Florida and Old Fogies!!
First off I want to admit that Im am One !!
Use to grin at all the old folks who came down here for couple months during the winter and Im gonna apologize to those that are still living when we get back and say a prayer for forgiveness for those that i cant tell them...Been on the tractor moving and feeding cattle for the last month or so in absolutely horrible weather and came down here to play senior softball(My wife and I ) and the weather is fantastic..Smells like spring in the morning, summer about mid day and a hint of Fall about 8 pm..
If you fellows are stuck in the snow get your wife, friend, husband in the vehicle and make a trip south

I used to say I wouldn't live in Florida for nothing......I now have a change of heart. My Wife & I agree that getting out of this Frozen Tundra from January 1st until about May 1st would be a Great Blessing...!!!

quote:We started out last week and weekend playing in Tampa Bay area..A lot of real nice swanky places but our fields were not in on of those areas..You needed to travel with teammates where we were..Luckily it was 180 teams of us ancient ballplayers so you saw uniforms out and about right much

We get to hear how it’s done up north and how uneducated

Checking in
Just an old Florida fogey checking in. Lived here on the Nature Coast since 2013. Plenty of great weather, big blue skies and enough snow birds in the wintertime to make spring our favorite time of year when they all fly home.
We picked a nice, slow-moving part of the state as our year 'round domicile. We're about 2 miles from the Gulf and I enjoy the kayaking and fishing opportunities that abound all the way up the coast.
I played softball in Michigan for years until the play kept getting faster and the players younger. I figured one of those young bucks would slide into me at second and I'd fly apart like a two-dollar watch.
Florida is hot in the summer but when you boys are shoveling it up North, I'm enjoying shorts, t-shirts and flipflops. I guess it's all about what turns you on.
