Prayers to his family. I met Randy in 1989 through Clinton Combs. A tougher hunter, handler, and competitor has never been born. I will miss him and Clinton tremendously.

Obituary for Mr. Randy Olen Leonard
Mr. Randy Olen Leonard, 53 years young of Galax, VA was reunited with his wife, Debra on Sunday, January 30, 2022. They were together on earth happily for 27 years. They had two children together-Cody Leonard of the home and Ashley Hodges and husband, Jarrett. Two grandchildren that he loved so much-Weston and Lily Hodges.
He was born in Galax, VA on August 18, 1968. In addition to his wife, Debra Sisk Leonard, he was also preceded in death by his father, John “JC” Leonard. He was such an amazing outdoor enthusiast and dog handler. Being in God’s Country was everything to him-from deer and turkey by day and following those hounds at night. Memories to hold for every adventure. He will never be forgotten- A LEGEND!
Other survivors include his dear mother, Berlene Sawyer; amazing brother, Jason “Bo” Leonard and wife, Lisa; two nephews, Daniel Leonard and Eric Leonard and wife, Kristen and son, Fox; many cousins and special uncle, JW Melton that meant a lot to him; so many cherished friends!
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 4, 2022 at High Country Services beginning at 2pm. Doug Hawks will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1pm until 2pm.
