Starting a 2 year old

Hi all, I have an almost 2 year old walker hound, female. We got her from a guy that said he had taken her out about a dozen times, that she would track and open on track, but he hadn't had her stick on a tree yet. We have since taken her out, and she has done nothing. Won't really stick with the other dogs. Acts like she has no clue what she's supposed to do. Bought some scents and drag dummies, she has absolutely zero interest in them. Thawed out a hide that we had from previous dogs, and our other hounds went crazy over them, she acted like she didn't know what to do. Do yall have any advice on how to get her started with her showing no interest in a coon? We mainly pleasure hunt, I'm fairly new to the sport having had a pair of older dogs some years ago. Now trying to get back into it, I like to get her to the point I can possibly get her in a couple competitions and shows. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Probably sounds silly but if i had a place i could let her run loose thats what i would try.See if she has any natural ability or hunt in her.

If she is hanging around you instead of going with the dogs simply put her back in the truck. Turn her out with the other dogs and if she stays put her back up, do not wait to see if she will leave. I've started several older dogs like this.

She definitely has a "please her owner" type personality, and I'm hoping that will help her along. As of right now she wants the hide, because she sees that the other dogs want the hide. I'm hoping to use that to my advantage. She is a very well bred dog, and has a wonderful temperament. I guess I'm kinda wondering if maybe trapping a coon and showing her what she's supposed to be looking for would help? That's where I am right now. Of course, as cold as it's been not having alot of luck on getting one in a live trap either.

I may try that Bill, thank you. I have been leashing her when she doesn't stick with the boys. She doesn't seem to like that, but I may try putting her back in the truck. Kinda like a time out, I'm guessing.

*update*
We took the dogs out a little earlier last night and my little female seemed to do a little better.
We cut them loose and she stayed with our male walker for about 80 yards then came back. He treed a coon so I took her with me to him, let her see what he was doing, she showed more interest then. After the coon fell, we let her see Ben get to have his turn with it, she was definitely curious. When he was done I let her sniff and check it out. She never grabbed it or anything but definitely wanted to smell all over it. Hopefully now she is starting to understand what she's supposed to do a little better now.
