Mr. Hoosier Sir...

I'm hoping the paths are mowed, the limbs have been moved so I don't stumble and fall and that you have taken care of all of the spider webs. You know I'm not near as young as I was the first time we hunted together, I need the pathways nice and clean and if you could please ask the coon to try their best to stay close to those paths It would be greatly appreciated.

Hobo,

Now Hobo, has ole Hoosier ever let you down? These things are taken care of. Plus, I have swept the foot bridge across the creek! Do i need to be thinking about hand rails for you? The coon feeder is also filled up!

You are responsible for 2 things.

1. Bring the dog power. Power does not belong in the same sentence with my dogs.
2. Bring ample amount of SNACKS! You know BS'ing makes us all hungry!

I’m not sure about the dog power I’m just hunting a 3 year old PUP…

Handrails on the foot bridge might be a good idea.

The spot that had the potty in the woods, has the potty been cleaned out?

I wonder if Mr. Debolt will let us borrow his power house after midnight? Or maybe Mr. Blackburn will bring some power for us to hunt.

Might want to check with the local restaurants and make sure they have plenty of food..

I do have my standard garbage bag full of snacks....they are enhanced this year as well. HOWEVER, you have have to negotiate with Mr. Jaxson to access those.

Labor shortages are everywhere, we'll have to take our chances on the places to eat here.... I'm sure we find something but i've alerted them we are in town for the week.

I'm hoping my 60 month old pup starts to come around this year.,,,, but i won't get my hopes up. She will always know she is part Redbone. That is hard to overcome.

This week is about 4 old guys and a kid or 2 if they tag along having a good time. There are a few basic ground rules.

1. We will have fun,.
2. We will eat good.
3. We might dumb into treeing a few coon.
4. The first liar never stands a chance.
5. Our past hunts and dogs get better every year! (Amazing how that
works)

Guess it’s a good thing Jaxson and I are buddies lol. We might need to find a coffee pot for Mr. Blackburn.

That 60 month old pup can eat my feed anytime. We just wouldn’t ever admit she was half Redbone.

I’ve been hunting with Hoosier for over 20 years now. First started going out and hunting a few nights before Oaks with him, then a few years ago we switched it up to the first week of season. We have a blast picking at each other and the dogs. BUT it usually turns into a three in one(poor Hobo).

We eat good before the hunt and find Hoosiers snacks during the night.

Treeing coon is usually a bonus. I think all of us have come to enjoy the time away from the hustle of our everyday lives.

If it can happen on a coon hunt we’ve probably seen it in the last 20 years.

Lol. I have followed you guys for a long time on this Forum, it still makes me very happy to see you guys having fun on these hunting trips. My hunting partner and myself sure have had fun over the years, but age and health has taken a toll on both of us. We sure do not hunt as hard as we used to and these mountains seem to have gotten much steeper, straight up it seems to me. Lol. I hope we have got a few more flat land trips left in us. I really enjoy you guys talking about your hunting trips and having fun. Never gets old to me enjoying our hunting brotherhood and the stories we share. I wish you guys the best and a safe trip. Keep us posted with your adventures and friendships. Dave
