Cannot update Alpha 100

I got an Alpha 100 that my computer cannot link up with. I updated 5 collars no problem but computer cannot find the Alpha 100. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem when I first got mine. Bruce can help you or you can cotact garmin and they will walk you through it.

What program did you use to try and update the handheld. My guess might be garmin express. Try web updater program.

I used webupdater, I updated 5 collars without a problem. I even tried another handheld my computer is just not recognizing the handhelds

Sorry GARYD I had it backwards. Here is an email I got from my contact at Garmin.

Garmin Express has version 4.30 on it for the Alpha 200i. WebUpdater is not recommended for anything other than the full size collars I know that is going to be another growing pain for people who have used that for a long time. As we go into busy season I am sure some of the old issues will pop up especially since straight out the box is usually not the latest and greatest software version available.

I got it to work, I took the y connector off the USB cable and plugged the cable directly into the handheld
