Hound for sale that is a GOOD one---

GOOD For your health, you will get a lot of walking in and bring your heart rate up because he is a go until treed type of dog.

GOOD For the economy because you will need a tracking system and the best light money can buy.

GOOD For the earth because if you are lucky there will be a coon in the tree maybe 50% of the time or at best 60%. Saves on ammo and also no lead and casings left on the ground.

GOOD For the neighborhood because he doesn't bark in kennel or on track.

GOOD For the pedigree he has although we don't know for sure who the sire is.

So if you want to own this GOOD hound, just go to a hunt near you and just ask who has a GOOD hound for sale.

And Best of Luck.

I like my dogs to pack up once a dog strikes a decent track…if the dog doesn’t pack up it will be living somewhere else…for me it’s about good hunting dogs first…

I’m with you Mr Reuben—

Be it a race after a rabbit, coon, bear, cat or coyote I want them to pack. If I want to listen to a dog bark in all directions, I can sit at home and listen to the neighbors

Old Timer, the sad part of your post is it's got so much truth in it, some folks think a dog like that is a real good dog. I am NOT one of those folks. Dave

Lol. Still not for me. Definitely not one that goes until treed, you can not hunt one like that in these mountains. Dave

Well, oklared

I’m guessing that if you can’t get first strike and first tree hunting one hound as Cousin Jeff would say, “ you might be a Redneck?” Not sure what your question is?

But if I’m hunting one hound, it best check back if it doesn’t find a track to work in a 1/4 to 1/2 mile, it best have a coon 80% or more of the time(and yes I have had hounds that were 90/100 percent accurate. How do I know?, I hunt when the leaves are off and I had a hide hunter teach me HOW TO SHINE A TREE in the mid 50s!!) For you kids still in school, do a science project on dim lights and bright lights and how much more of a shadow a bright light will cast😉😉. And kids, study the habits of a raccoon and you will learn where to shine👍🏻

To the rest out there, just keep circling trees(because your hound sure isn’t😆 And maybe someone will offer to buy your “GOOD Hound”

Time to load up Have Fun tonight

I’m a 32 year old female and just want to say this:
I’m looking to buy those dead loaners that don’t pack!
I need a deep and lonely through the country. I won a state championship with it in 2019 and she was killed a few months later. Only difference was I raised her from a 6 week old puppy. Have had the hardest time finding anything that will kick rocks and go hunting

According to some that is the only thing being hunted and bred now, lol. It's funny how nobody can find what they want.... and they think there is an abundance of what they don't like. Good luck in finding the hound you want.

Exactly how I felt when I read the comments on this post.
The dog I’m looking for is what these other guys are getting rid of, and the dog that doesn’t suit me is what they like.
Sadly, you can’t hardly buy anything off anyone’s word these days and know exactly what you’re getting. I have a couple puppies coming up off of Willy and Bank, I hope one ends up my style. If I can’t buy it I’m going to have to make it. I’m getting tired of throwing thousands away looking for the right kind, especially the way dog prices are right now.

That's probably a good place to be! I'd say your odds of getting what you want increase greatly if you raise em as pups. I've tried to buy a couple.... but didn't pan out. Hunting in Wyoming is a little different country for hounds. Of course the pups I've raised are not anything to write home about yet either, so who knows, lol.

We hunt the other kennel club a lot and know what it takes to win, pack dogs aren’t it for us. The same bitch I won the state with was reserve at the super stakes and should have won the whole thing if it wasn’t for a judging error.

I hope you listened to the PBP PKC WORLD HUNT, Goose treed 4 singles by himself while the other 2 dogs treed 3 single together ( 1 plus 2 ). Nothing wrong with being alone, but deep and Alone did not cut it. A coon dog can put it on the deep and Alone dog every time in coons, now in thin coons deep and Alone can win. Most major hunts are in thick coons, give me a Goose every time and I will win my share. Dave

I’ve hunted with deep and alone Walker dogs that kick rocks in your face…they were good dogs but not the best…

I want a dog that packs up…but if the dog strikes a track on his way to the dog and hits a track on his way I do not fault the dog…sometimes I have 4 dogs going in 4 directions…

The best dog day in and day out hunts out quickly and covers ground on his way out…he is not hunting a track he is hunting coon scent and the second he picks up coon scent he goes to it and and makes it look easy finding the hot end quickly…if nothing close he will range out further…

I saw a Walker leave out down the gravel road and went about half a mile and cut into the woods and went to opening on a track but couldn’t figure it out…the cur dog left after the deep and alone dog but cut in and worked a track for about 10 minutes but couldn’t work it out…too much water in the rice field…the cur comes out and goes to Where the walkers was trying to figure it out…this cur dog switched gears and went straight to the hogs and bayed solid…I reckon hunting with average dogs deep and alone will work…but deep and alone is like any other hunting dog…some are better than others for more reasons than deep and alone…

I did read the PBP thank you, we hunt very thin coon in big hills. I know what it takes to tree coons here. I didn’t say deep and lonely was the only way, but it’s my way.

Yes Sir., I can respect that choice. I say hunt what you like and let the other man hunt what he likes. I like a dog that hunts good and in these mountains coons are thin, so it takes a good hunting dog to find them If I hunted in thick coons, I would want a close hunting dog. Dave
