Pro Staff Criteria??
I see companies that have pro staffs..What knowledge or degrees in coonhunting should be attained to be considered for a pro staff??
Seems to be a few Light Gurus that seem to know a little something about every light on the market..Has anyone ever set up meters to give exact numbers on each light on the market that especially those with the exact same setup as far as flood or tight walk lights ,flood or tight main beams..True burn times..true weights and also balance ..Something other than just opinions because you may be wearing a certain brand..

Staff? Isn't that a long stick that old guys use when going through the woods. I guess that a Pro Staff would be one that an old Pro used.
LOL a lot of people don't hunt enough to truly give you an accurate assessment on those parameters. For many years I hunted at least 6 nights a week, and all nite 2 nites each week. People would rave about this light or those boots. I always knew who was fibbing about how much they hunted when I had used the lights or boots they were boasting about. Back in those days nothing compared to Blazer lights, its a shame they are not in the game anymore. I can flat out destroy any light, Blazer was the only one that I could put hard miles on. Forget about the boots, 3 months is all you could hope for if you truly hunted hard. Although I have found a pair now that seem to be pretty durable. They were very uncomfortable until they were broke in though.

That sounds like something you should do John! A person with no involvement in the light manufacturing business ask to use a light from some of the manufacturers and run them all through the same type of testing with consistent end reports. I have used several different lights by several different makers over the years and found that I like certain things about certain lights were best for ME. I truly believe that if you compare apples to apples in the lights that you will get similar results. It then comes down to what you are most happy with. It’s a lot like Ford vs Chevy type of thing IMO.

Pro Staff
Well I certainly am not a Pro Staff my boys and I do hunt alot. Lights I have been thru them all currently have a Micro Fusion I like it seems durable to many switches on it would be my only complaint. As far as boot I hunted with Muck for years always wore a blister on my heel unless I wore heavy socks which in summer time was awful but my feet sweat bad any way. I am currently wearing Dry Shod I like them but they rub my ankles to a blister if I don't wear Long socks. I personally look at who stands behind there products and that certainly helps my decision. Of course Johnny Dalton and Valley Creek have treated me weill!
I’ve come to find the man behind the product goes a lot further than the product it’s self!!
