Candy Store

You ever been there? It is only open once a year. We have gone the past 3 years. And calendar is marked for this year. We both are getting excited as it gets closer. WoW! Makes my mouth water as we walk around and look at all the GOODIES and talk to people from all over U S We buy for the kids, grandkids, neighbor boy and ourselves. They have a NEW PRODUCT I want to look at this year. Been reading a lot about how good it is.

Bet you are wondering what this has to do with UKC Coon Hunting!

Let me Explain!

Candy Store = Autumn Oak.

Goodies = Hounds, Pups, Coon hunting supplies of all kinds.
So far:5 pr Boots, 3 coats, 2 lights, alpha 100, 3 TT15s, leashes, collars, plaques, chaps and 2 pups.

We have found this to be place to buy. Most bang for the buck. GREAT VENDORS to deal with and to numerus to list. I try to buy something from each might not be much,but it's a sale. We have 3 of 4 grandkids and neighbor boy(4 to 10 yr old) to keep in hunting gear. As they grow it gets handed down. But always need new and bigger.
We don't comp. hunt, But have hopes of 1 or more of the above to try the comp. hunting in the future. I had the opportunity to go as backup handler last yr. on Friday night. Was a real good time. Hope my 78 yr old buddy is there this yr.
We will be there on Tuesday. We always have coffee, cold water and extra chairs. Stop by!
Ha! Rambled on a long way. Just bored. Wanted to maybe get some responses to read on this forum.

Just a ole man sharing. Hope you like the Candy Store too. UKC does a GREAT JOB with it!.

Always love the vendors at Autumn Oaks!

Good analogy with the candy store. Cheyenne is like a kid in a candy store everytime we go. It's the one time a year he wants to go shopping! Autumn Oaks is like the Mall of America for the cooonhunter!

It is the only candy store that you can spend the night in.
The interweb has been the death of the large malls and I wonder how long it will be before it does the same to AO?

You are right bout over night stay in candy store. After vendors close we walk around looking at dogs and pups. Also have many conversations with people (fellow hound owners) from all over U S A. So many things to do for those of us that don't compete. But yet we can enjoy and share the excitement of those that do.
As for the interweb closing A O down. That may happen, But If (until) it happens. Gramma and I will continue to ENJOY what we like.
