TT15 mini shocks without pushing button?!?
I know it sounds stupid, but I have a nearly new TT15 mini I'm almost certain shocks my dog occasionally without me pushing a button. The first time I thought the dog might have been snake bit- he squalled out and quit a track and came in, but he never showed signs of it. Did the same thing again just a few minutes ago.
Is this even possible, or has anyone had this issue? Just curious before I send it in...
.
Corey anything is possible. This is what I highly suggest. There is no easy way to prove it unless you wrap it around your arm and put it on the low stimulation. Problem is you don't know if it is auto shocking on 1 or not. But if you were 100% sure it is shocking on its own. I am sure Garmin's engineers would be interested in checking out that collar. I can reach out to some I have contact with and see how they want to handle it. If you are interested. Of course if you sent it in. You would get a replacement collar also. I could handle that for them or they could send you one direct. Just let me know if I can help in anyway.

This may sound ridiculous, but I've noticed that my light will flicker when I use the tone or stimulation, and last night when I felt like he was being shocked my light flickered in the same manner. The kicker is, I was hunting alone, screen was locked, and unit was sitting untouched on my dash.

Don't sound ridiculous at all. Electronic equipment does interfere with other equipment. After reading this. I doh't think the issues is in the collar. But a stray signal being picked up by the handheld.
I have seen lights sitting on the seat next to a garmin respond to things being done with the garmin handheld. I have seen VHF radios operated on a frequency close to the garmin handhelds to things to the collar stimulation and the handheld.
Also the position of some of this electronic equipment (handheld) in a newer truck with a lot of electronic equipment. Can cause interference.
Back a dozen years or so ago. I had the garmin 220. I started wearing a cap light for the first time then also. For the first three nights my Garmin range was down to 500 yards and I thought something was wrong with it. It was the rheostat switch on the light interfering with the garmin handheld. I started to notice that when I had my light off the range was ok.
