Turkey Hunting-MI, WI or MN

My son and I are wanting to do some turkey hunting in Michigan, Wisconsin or Minnesota. We are planning on the 3rd or 4th week of this month. We would like to find some private ground but are not above public or a outfitter. Any thoughts or directions would be appreciated.
